The Hirschgasse is nestled romantically in a little side valley, which belongs to the most expensive and sought after residential areas of Neuenheim – which is a part of Heidelberg.
The Hirschgasse is facing the Heidelberg Castle from the opposite riverside. From this point, by the way, William Turner painted the Heidelberg Castle from here.
A short stroll along the river Neckar, lets you enjoy a most spectacular perspective of Germany’s most beautiful castle and leads you across the Old Bridge, straight into the heart of the historic Old City. The walk only takes 8 minutes, but that depends how long you stare mesmerized from the embankment onto the castle and enjoy the view.
Behind your house, the world famous Philosopher’s Walk also begins.
Once having walked up there, you will be rewarded with a panoramic view all over Heidelberg and beyond, looking into the Rhine plain.
As a unique feature, our own historic vineyard “Sunny side upon the bridge” is just a mere stone throw away from us.
